Shattered Sky-Lens

Fragments of low-iron and float glass, 2015
150cm diameter

The work considers the frame of the sky and the cosmos from the perspective of our gaze at the terrestrial horizon; a gaze that is enframed through the lens of technology. Through the shattering of this lens, the reflected screen of the sky is disappropriated - a shattering of the inscription of space and time. The work is a negative prosthesis; a clear mirror by which a play of lights overflows the horizon of the screen.
